Geranium robertianum, also known as herb robert, is a common annual or biennial weed with pink flowers on red-tinted stems. It flowers from spring to autumn. The deeply divided leaves have a pungent odour.

Herb robert grows in partially shady conditions such as woods, hedgerows, along walls, and under garden plants.

How to get rid of herb robert

Herb robert will spread quickly by exploding seed pots. So it has a tendency to self-seed abundantly. If left to grow unchecked, it may become invasive.

Remove the plant before flowering occurs. It has shallow roots. So it’s easy to pull up. Alternatively, Hoe off seedlings regularly.
